Buford Bernard Cranford, 97, of Sheridan, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on July 9, 2018. He was born June 21, 1921 in Belfast, Arkansas to the late John William and Nora (Carlisle) Cranford.

Buford proudly served in the United States Navy. He retired as Assistant Chief after serving 23 years with the North Little Rock Fire Department. After retirement, Buford worked as a security guard at the Federal Reserve Bank in North Little Rock. Buford was a member of Palestine Missionary Baptist Church. He was also the owner of BB Cranford Window and Door.

Preceding Buford in death are his parents; and siblings: Belden Cranford, Esper Cranford, Dennis Cranford, Ora Mills, Lonnie Cranford, Elmo Cranford, Viola Raye, Tory Cranford, Elbert Cranford, and Lester Cranford.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of over 68 years, Lillie Lou Cranford of Sheridan, Arkansas; son, Gary Cranford of Sheridan, Arkansas; daughter, Betty Springer and her husband Randy of Heber Springs, Arkansas; two granddaughters: Tori McLain and husband Jeff and Taylor Sanders and husband Josh; six great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends who love Buford and will miss him always.
