George W Bean, aka John, was born in Kentucky about 1837. He was the son of John William Bean and Emaline Frances Miller. He first married Charlotte (maiden name unknown), also from KY, and moved to Arkansas before having two children (John L and Laura A) in the late 1850s. Apparently, Charlotte passed away before the 1870 census and in that census he was remarried (Martha Elizabeth Pratt) and living in Missouri. George and Martha began having children in 1867. At least 4 of their children reached adulthood. George and Martha were last recorded in the 1880 census. It is unknown (to me) when and where he died. He does not have a grave marker.
