Children: Walter O'Brien, Marianne O'Brien Reynolds, and Dorothy O'Brien Buck Cook
Spouse Two: Abraham Washington Attell a.k.a. "The Little Champ" and "The Little Hebrew" m. 1939
Children: None
Speaking of words of wisdom, Attell listened to some of his own and took the hand of a charming and beautiful woman. The marriage of Abe Attell, 56, New York promoter and former featherweight boxing champion, and the former Mae O'Brien, 36, of New York became known on March 13, 1939, and took place in Miami, Florida. Mae, who brought three stepchildren, Walter, Marianne and Dorothy, to the couple's relationship, was also said to have brought a much-needed stability into Abraham's life. From all signs, the two made the perfect pair. Attell would eventually honor Mae with an establishment of her own at East 55th Street and Second Avenue in New York.
Baker, Mark Allen. The Fighting Times of Abe Attell. McFarland & Company, Inc., 28 Nov. 2017.
