Casilda (Cathy) Garcia, age 73, beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, and sister, was called by the Lord to Eternal Life, Thursday, November 8, 2007, while surrounded by her loving family. Cathy fought a courageous battle with cancer. She will be fondly remembered, as a caring, loving, and courageous women, who always put her family first. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lorenzo Adan Garcia; a brother, Moises Solano; and sisters, Corine Garcia and Carmen Salazar. Cathy is survived by her loving children, Johnny R. Garcia and wife, Margaret, Mark A. Garcia, Antonio R. Garcia, Sammy A. Garcia, and Michelle Lucero and husband, Albert; her precious grandchildren, John Patrick, Joseph Robert, Samantha Marie, Joshua R., Vanessa J., John Michael, Aliea, and Ariel Garcia; great-grandchildren, Damien Griego, Hunter, Dylan, and Gavin Garcia. Also surviving are two sisters, Florinda Ulibarri and Alice Ortega; one brother, Alfonso Solano; and numerous other beloved family members and friends. Cathy will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Visitations will be Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Bernalillo, followed by a Rosary which will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Interment will follow the Algodones Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Patrick, Joseph, Joshua, Paul Garcia, Alex Ulibarri, and Paul Ortega, Jr. Honorary bearers will be Tim Solano and Ignacio Salazar.
