Adam Jacob Otero, 40, of Rio Rancho, died unexpectedly on June 2, 2021.

Adam was born January 15, 1981, in Albuquerque, NM. He graduated from St. Pius X High School in 1999 and became a Registered Nurse. He worked in a variety of units expanding his skills, before settling in the Intensive Care Unit. Through the recent pandemic, he provided front line medical care to individuals suffering complications due to COVID-19. He was gifted in his profession and mentored several new nurses. He was a loyal Denver Broncos fan, avid video gamer, and enjoyed exploring the great outdoors. His friends and loved ones remember him as charming, witty, energetic, and generous.

In 2011, Adam moved with his wife to Bloomington, IN where they welcomed their three children Adelyn, Cruz, and Harmony. The family later moved to Portland, OR, until his family returned and settled, once again, in Albuquerque.

In addition to his three children, Adam is survived by the mother of his children, Tiffany (Gonzales) Otero; his mother and step-father, Dorothy and Ron Aragon; his father and step-mother, Theodoro (Ted) and Ramona Otero; maternal grandmother, Hazel Chavez; maternal grandfather, Richard Chavez; younger brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Gina Otero and their children Marcus and Sophia; elder brother, Theodoro (Ted, Jr.) Otero; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Antonio and Manuela Otero; paternal uncle, Anthony Otero; and cousins Gabriel Roche, and Rosana and Tiffany Bransford.

A public viewing will be held at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 9, at French-Wyoming located at Wyoming and San Antonio.
