Mrs. Kathryn B. Gutfleisch Smith, of Mount Gretna, died this morning at 1:35 o'clock in St. Joseph's hospital, of a complication of diseases, following an illness of seven weeks. She was born in Lancaster the daughter of the late Charles and Catherine Stroble Eschbach, and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic church, Cornwall. She was twice married. Her first husband, Andrew Gutfleisch is deceased eight years and her second husband, James P. Smith, is deceased three years. Two sisters survive: Mrs. Elizabeth J. Cleaver and Mrs. Tillie Smith, both of Lancaster and one brother, Albert Eschbach, of Sommerville, New Jersey, and a number of nieces and nephews. (Lancaster New Era - Aug 24, 1938)
