W Thurston Burdick, native Trojan and brother of Miss Laura E. Burdick of Troy, died last night at Evanston Hospital, Evanston, Ill., after a long illness.
Mr Burdick was born in Troy and was a graduate of the Troy public schools and Troy High School. He was a 1919 graduate of RPI, from which he received a degree in electrical engineering.
After his graduation from RPI he moved to Chicago when he subsequently served the General Electric Co. as manager of market research in Chicago and then as sales manager for Cook County. While in Troy, he was a member of the Ninth Presbyterian Church.
Surviving, beside his sister, are his wife, the former Juanita Swancutt, and two sons, Thomas C. Burdick of Closter, N J., and Wallace T. Burdick Jr. of Westwood, N.J.
Funeral services will be conducted In Wilmetta, Ill. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery where Rev. George Borthwick, pastor of the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church, will officiate.
