SONOMA - Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. today at the Chapel of Bates, Evans and Fehrensen for Bessie B. Benzon, who died Friday at a Vallejo hospital. She was 73. A native of Menan, Idaho, she lived in Sonoma Valley for 14 years. She was a psychiatric technician at Sonoma State Hospital for 15 years and was a member of the California State Employees Association. She is survived by her sons, John Benzon, Novato, Edward Benzon, Reno, Nev., and Michael Benzon, San Francisco; brother, Rex Barrett, San Francisco; sister, Orma Call, Idaho; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Burial will be private at Santa Rosa Memorial Park.
