Weldon Hamer Bruns

Weldon Hamer Bruns, Winona auto salesman, died last Thursday morning at the Kilmichael hospital, apparently of a heart attack. He was 62 years old.

Mr. Bruns, a native of Montgomery County, lived at Kilmichael and commuted daily to Winona. He had worked for the past twenty years as an auto salesman for Dotson Motor Company. Several times he had been recognized by the General Motors Corporation for his outstanding sales records, on the district as well as the local level.

Married to the former Ilah Crowder, Mr. Bruns had two children. He was a member of the Kilmichael Baptist Church and served in various capacities there.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 14, at the Kilmichael Baptist Church, Rev. Joe Thomas and Dan Beardain officiating. Burial followed in the Kilmichael Cemetery, Oliver Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Bruns leaves his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Joe Willa Ross, Cleveland and Mrs. Janie Vance, Winona; two sisters, Miss Lena Bruns, Greenwood, and Mrs. Inez Kennedy Winona; and two granddaughters.

Pallbearers were David Dotson, A. V. Gibson, B. G. Harper, Pearl Williams, Noel Williams, H. W. Holleman.
