Albert Marion West, age 72, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away at his residence on Sunday, November 12, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robel and Katherine West. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda D. West; two sons, Michael West (Jennifer), Christopher West (Nicole); one daughter, Amanda West; one brother Rickey West (Vickie); one sister, Barbara Fisher (David); one grandchild, Heather West; nephew DJ Fisher (Cherisa); brother in-laws, Glenn and Bobby Eller; special friend, Donna Ostermeyer; five granddogs, three grandcats. Albert was known for having a good sense of humor and sarcasm. He loved animals, especially dogs. Albert also enjoyed the outdoors and a good cup of Covfefe (coffee). Albert enlisted in the United States Airforce in 1966-1970 where he proudly served his country. Albert retired from the state of Tennessee after 45 years of service but continued to work even after his retirement. He also volunteered at Villa Maria Manor with Linda for 29 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at Villa Maria Manor, 32 White Bridge Road, Nashville, TN on Friday, November 24, 2017 at 1 pm. Friends, coworkers and all those who loved Albert are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Alberts memory to The Friends of Hannah Animal Rescue, Gallatin, Tn., or The Rheumatoid Arthritis Research Fund at curearthritis.org.
