George J. Oelschig, 92, of 1117 S. 13th Street, died in a local hospital Sunday.
He had been the custodian at Central High School for 34 years prior to his retirement 20 years ago.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Sletten-McKee Funeral Home. The Rev. Fritz Miller will officiate and burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Louise, four daughters Mrs. Edward (Clara) Jones and Mrs. Arthur (Lou) Grosskopf, both of La Crosse, Mrs. Alfred (Mae) Gensmer of Caledonia Minn., and Mrs. Arthur (Esther) Hoffman of Saratoga, Calif.; six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. A daughter Mrs. Charles (Emma) Stauffer preceded him in death in 1916
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m.
