Brenda Butler, 62, of Indianapolis and formerly of Spiceland, passed away May 31, 2021 at her home. She was born July 18, 1958 to the late Richard and Patricia (Bell) Butler.

She was employed at the Indiana School for the Deaf for many years. Brenda was an advocate for American Sign Language and a member of the Indiana Deaf Club. She enjoyed crafts, cake decorating, painting and being ornery. Brenda loved her dog Abbey and was fondly known as "Aunt Bee" by her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her siblings, Dave (Terri) Butler of Lewisville, Debbie (Doug) Searcy of Straughn, Dawn (Roger) Mogg of Spiceland and Jim (Pam) Butler of Austin, TX; nieces and nephews, Hope (Aaron) Stevens, Angie Butler, Kylie (Art) Claar, Heather (Jason) Groce, Jessica (Doug) Wright, Ryan Mogg, Rick (Ashley) Butler and Morgan (Jasen) Otten; several great nieces and nephews; and step-mother, Joyce Butler.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2021 at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown, all are welcome to attend.
