—William Blowers met with a sad and horrible death yesterday afternoon. Blowers hired out about a year ago as car cleaner in the Central yards. Yesterday the man who attended to cleaning of the wheels was away, and Blowers was put to work in his place. As the 1:40 pm passenger train pulled into the depot he attempted to board it, with a new broom in each hand. He was tripped up the brooms and with great force was thrown against one of the posts of the depot. He staggered under the cars and the wheels passed over his legs. He also sustained a fracture of the skull, besides several less serious injuries. He died a few minutes after arriving at the hospital, surrounded by his wife and children.
