TO BE HELD SUNDAY
Galena, Kan., May 12--Funeral rites for Clyde James (Tang) Reed, 31 years old who died at 5 o'clock this morning at Freeman hospital in Joplin, will be held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Methodist Episcopal church, with the Rev. R. L. Kuhns, pastor, in charge. Burial will be in the Lowell cemetery. Reed drank an antiseptic solution two weeks ago yesterday at his home here. Domestic troubles and financial difficulties were the reason for the suicidal act, it was believed. His wife was in the house at the time and attempted to prevent Reed from taking the poison, but was unsuccessful. He was taken to the hospital that night where he had (sic) since been receiving treatment in an effort to save his life.
