THE PARIS NEWS, Tuesday, April 18, 2000, page 8A: “COOPER - Mildred L. Landers, 85, of Roxton died Monday, April 17, 2000, at McCuistion Regional Medical Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, at First Baptist Church in Roxton with the Rev. Jerry Moore officiating. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery by Delta Funeral Home. The body will lie at the church from 9 a.m. until service time. Mrs. Landers was born in Roxton Oct. 9, 1914, to Charlie Mack and Ellen Jones Lawrence. She married J. T. Landers Aug. 13, 1935. She and her husband have owned and operated City Drug Store in Roxton for many years. Surviving are her husband; a brother, C. W. Lawrence of Cooper; a sister, Gladys George of Sulphur Springs; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. The family requests memorials be made to a favorite charity.”
