Otto was son of Johann & Barbara (Koch Hauser) Breitenstein. He married Lizzie Mader on Nov. 5, 1889 at St Francis of Assisi Church in Dayton, KY. They had 4 children together: Otto 1889-1963; Grace M. Linnet 1895-1983; Felix 1902-1979 & Maria 1906-1991.

At his residence, 405 McKinney St, Dayton, Ky; aged 82 years. Funeral from the Vonderhaar and Stetter funeral home, Third and Overton Streets, Newport, KY. Wednesday, July 10, 1946, with requiem high mass at St. Bernard Church, Dayton, KY, at 9 a.m. Interment St. Stephen Cemetery. Carpenters Union of Newport, No. 698, will hold services at 7:30 o'clock, Tuesday night at the funeral Parlor.
