Three Forks-George Burrell, 74, whose parents came to the Gallatin Valley in a covered wagon, died Tuesday in a Bozeman hospital.
Burrell, born June, 1877 in Gallatin City, now a ghost town, once a center of activity for the Gallatin area, was a rancher in the Three Forks area all his life. Gallatin City was located next to Three Forks.
In 1913 he was married to the former Mabel Reid, also a member of a pioneer Montana family. There were no children.
In addition to his wife, Burrell is survived by three nieces and one nephew.
Funeral services will be held Friday in the Twichel Funeral Home in Three Forks. The Rev. H.B Ricketts of the Federated Church will officiate. Interment will be in the Logan cemetery.
