unm Wife of Drury - family information. According to Texas marriage records Drury Fletcher and Mary Jane Calloway Fletcher were married Feb 27, 1867 in Atascasa. Some family members say that Mary Jane was married first to Drury's brother, William Fletcher.
Mary Jane Calloway's first spouse was William K. (King) Fletcher; they were married in Henry County, MO. on March 7, 1848 (see Henry Co. Marriage Records, p. 55). William died in Petersburg, VA. on May 9, 1863 and is buried in the Texas section of Confederate soldiers at the Blandford Church Cemetery. Mary Jane re-married Feb. 27, 1867 to William's older brother Drury (who was in the Union army and had relocated to TX after the war); marriage was in Atascosa Co. TX.
