In 1905 her father was elevated to Prince of Lippe with the style of Serene Highness; making Calixta a Princess of Lippe with the style of Serene Highness. Princess Calixta of Lippe married on August 14, 1919 at Schloss Hemmelmark in Barkelsby, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany to Prince Waldemar of Prussia. They had no children and they resided in Bavaria, Germany. Prince Waldemar suffered from hemophilia and he died on May 2, 1945 in a hospital in Tutzing, Bavaria, Germany at the age of fifty-six. Princess Calixta of Prussia died thirty-seven years later on December 15, 1982 at Schloss Rheinhartshausen in Erbach, Hesse, Germany at the age of eighty-seven.
