Ms. A. G. Word, age 92 of Meadowview Senior Care, passed on July 21, 2011 at the Halifax Regional Hospital.
She was born on November 16, 1918 in Pittsylvania County to the late John and Kate Carter. She was married to the late Will Word. She is survived by four step-daughters, eleven grandchildren, one sister and a host of other family and friends.
Viewing will be held Monday, July 26, 2011 from 4 to 7 at the chapel of Smith Funeral Service.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 27 at 1p.m. at Sunny Level Baptist Church with Dr. Terry Ferguson officiating.
Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
