Richard LeMoyne "Dick" Granger, of Worthington and formerly of Marion, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, Columbus, Ohio, surrounded by his family. Dick was born on May 25, 1932 to Alonzo W. and Gertrude H. Granger. He was a graduate of Marion St. Mary's High School class of 1950. He was member of the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954 and served in the Korean Conflict. Dick graduated from The Ohio State University in 1957 with a BS in Business Administration. Dick is preceded in death by his parents, as well as all of his siblings Carl Granger, Edwin Granger, Marie Zimmer, Sister Marie "Aunt Ruth" Granger, Paul Granger, John Granger, Dr. Shirley Granger and Jane Edgington. On April 23, 1955, Dick married Rose Marie "Reed" Cusick who entered eternal life May 26, 2010. Dick and Reed raised six (6) children all of whom survive, Mark (Geri) Granger, Worthington, OH, Matt Granger, Dublin, OH, Molly Bramble, Lorton, VA, Mike (Laura) Granger, Allendale, NJ, Murray (Suzanne) Granger, Duluth, GA, Marten (Lisa) Granger, Strongsville, OH; along with sixteen (16) grandchildren and seven (7) great grandchildren with twin great granddaughters due this August. Dick grew up on a farm in Big Island Twp. in Marion County, OH. Upon graduation from college, he began his lifelong profession as a realtor working for Harley Rouda in Columbus, OH, with his father and brothers, Carl and Paul, at Granger Realty Company, as a broker/owner of Dick Granger Realty, Inc., Marion, OH, as a realtor in Northern Virginia and finally with Real Estate Showcase, Marion, OH until he retired. Dick devoted his entire life to his family, church and community. He served as president of several groups/associations including Marion St. Mary's School Board and Parish Councils, The Ohio State University-Marion Alumni Association, Marion Board of Realtors, as well as many others. He cherished his family above all else creating lasting memories by taking them on many camping, fishing and other family outings. He had an endearingly big laugh and an infectious smile and was a master at conquering the NY Times cross word puzzle. He will be sorely missed.
