Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, February 17, 2016, in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Mount Pleasant Chapel on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Novelene was born November 28, 1935, in St. Stephen, South Carolina, daughter of J.W. Godwin and Etta Humbert Godwin. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She is survived by her husband, Gilbert R. Stauss of Wando; daughter, Cindy Stauss (Earl) Longshore of Mt. Pleasant; son, John Scott Stauss of Wando; granddaughter, Lynn Longshore of Mt. Pleasant; sister, Myrtle G. Jackson of Awendaw, and brother, James Ronald Godwin of Awendaw. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Alexis Valerie Stauss.
