Mrs. Whitmire had many rewarding accomplishments during her life. Ann was a faithful servant of the Lord. She was also the Associational Director of WMU for the Wichita, Archer, and Clay Associations. Not only dedicated to the ministry of the Lord, she was a faithful prayer warrior. Ann was devoted to her family, and to helping and serving others. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Alan Charles Whitmire of Wichita Falls; her son, Charles Whitmire and wife Dana of Pflugerville; her daughter, Beth Whitmire Dallas and husband Tim of Lubbock; six grandchildren, Caleb, Aaron, and Ashley Whitmire, and Zach, Calyn, and Abby Dallas; and her brother, Ronnie Blackerby and wife Marilyn of New Caney.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 19, 2008 at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Lakeside City.
