Barbara was born on August 8, 1938 to the late Paul and Nellie (Wrona) Musco. She was preceded in death by two younger siblings, Carol Ballard (Jim) and Joseph (Betty) Musco. She has one remaining brother, Paul (Verlene).
Barbara grew up in Acmetonia, PA. Coming from a family with a true love of music, she learned to play the organ, piano, and accordion and offered lessons to local aspiring musicians. When her first accordion was for sale, she demonstrated her playing skills and the sound of the accordion for a young man, Richard, who not only had an interest in the accordion, but years later would become her husband of 58 years. Barbara earned a Bachelor's degree from Edinboro University and later earned a Master's degree from Penn State. She enjoyed all of her 35 years as a teacher, having served as both mentor and role model to many a 3rd and 4th grader, primarily in the Shaler School District. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell. Upon retirement, a forever educator, Barbara found pleasure in her role of religious instructor in local Catholic churches, where she also served as a Eucharistic minister.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Richard, two daughters, Kathleen and Susan (Brian), and three grandchildren, Hannah (Matt) of Coraopolis, Abby, and Max.
