Joseph Edward Oerestad

MILES CITY, MT. ---- Joseph Edward Orestad worked on various ranches before going to work for the Burlington Railroad, were he was the track foreman.

He later worked for Butch Grenz at the 600 Café.

He was a member of the First Christian Church.

Mr.. Orestad, 47, died suddenly approximately Dec. 25, 1989, in his home.

The cause of death is still under investigation.

He was born in Cecilia, Iowa, a son of Edward and Helen brewer Orestad.

He attended grade school at Spring Creek, south of Miles City, graduating from Custer High School.
He also attended Miles Community College.

In May 1973, he married Sandra Popp in Belle Fourche, S.D.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Ann Orestad of Broadus, MT., and
Helen Jean Orestad of Prescott Valley, AZ.; his parents of Powderville, MT.; a brother, James of Bozeman, MT., and three sisters, Mrs. Dan (Mary Anne )
Johnson of Forsyth, MT., Mrs. Charlie (MaDonna) Balsam of Miles City., MT.,
and Mrs. Tom (Lillian) Ostendorf of Powderville, MT.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be on the family ranch.
