Alan Robert Sundvall entered eternal rest on May 8, 2021.
Alan was born to Victor and Violet Sundvall on November 19, 1945 in Milaca, MN.
Alan graduated from Milaca High in 1963.
Alan married Pamela Klofstad in 1965. They had three daughters, Kimberly, Lisa, and Amelia.
After high school, he followed his brother, Dean to New Mexico and worked in construction for over thirty-five years, building roads, buildings and bridges. After he retired in 1999, he spent time doting on his grandchildren.
Alan played classical piano and taught himself guitar. Alan loved to compose songs and play for his daughters.
Alan was well liked by everyone and was known for his wit and sense of humor. Alan valued compassion and empathy and everyone felt at ease in his company.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents.
Alan is survived by his siblings, Jean Hancock, Bruce (Sharon) Sundvall, Dean (Betty) Sundvall, Joan Sundvall, Tynie Kvistad, Vicki (James) Mickelson, Lonnie (Rene) Sundvall and David Sundvall. Alan is also survived by his three daughters, Kim (Joe) Carpentier, Lisa Sundvall and her husband, Rob Wiberg and Amelia (Anthony) Maestas. Alan had five grandchildren, Megan and Darla Maestas, Aidan and Olivia Kemm and Samantha Carpentier.
There will be a viewing at 9:00 a.m., followed by a 10:00 a.m. service on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Daniels Family Funeral Services Sara Road Chapel – 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM. Interment will be at Vista Verde Memorial Park, after the service.
