Don passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center, Midland at the age of 91 years. He was born in Bay City on July 22, 1929 to the late George and Isabelle (Collins) Thibo. He married the former Patsy L. Parker on November 27, 1954 and they were married for 66 years. He attended the Radiant Church of Bay City. Don worked for Kuhlman Electric for many years and then worked and retired on October 30, 1992 from General Motors – Saginaw Steering Gear. Don served his country the United States Navy Reserve during WWII and then the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed working on the neighbors' farm machinery and gardening. He also loved boats and lighthouses. Don was always whistling and loved spending time with his family and friends.

Don is survived by his wife, Pat; children, Michael (Candie) Thibo, Randy (Sandy) Thibo, Rick (Sharon) Thibo, George Thibo, Joe (fiancée Tonya) Thibo and Buffie Thibo; nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; brother, Kenneth (Mary) Thibo and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Thibo; sister-in-law, Ruth Thibo.

At the request of Don, cremation has taken place, a memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the Radiant Church of Bay City. Officiating will be Pastor Marco Salazar with private inurnment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
