Anthony J. Della Volpe Sr., age 75 of Ansonia, died Sunday, at The West Haven V.A. Medical Center. He was the husband of Louise Hummel Della Volpe. His funeral service will be held on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. from the Bennett Funeral Home, 91 North Cliff Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church. Burial with full Marine Military Honors will be in Mt. St. Peters Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Anthony Della Volpe Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
