Anthony J. Della VoIpe, Jr. - It is with great sadness that the family Anthony J. Della VoIpe, Jr. of Ansonia announces his sudden passing at the age of 51.

Tony, also known as Butch, was predeceased by his parents Anthony J. and Louise Hunmel Della VoIpe. He will be lovingly remembered by his sons Anthony M. and Daniel P. of Shelton along with his former wife Mary Lee (McGuire) Della VoIpe, his sister and brother-in-law Diana Della VoIpe Varga and Douglas Varga of Easton and his many nieces and nephews.

Tony was a graduate of the Ansonia High School and received a degree in accounting from Western Connecticut State University. After obtaining his CPA, Tony went on to have a successful career as CFO of a number of companies in diverse industries, each of which he helped stabilize and expand. He will be remembered for his non-subtle sense of humor, his passion for sports and politics and most especially, his Iove for his two sons.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Nov. 15 from 4-7 p.m. in the Bennett Funeral Home, 91 N. Cliff St., Ansonia on Friday family and friends are requested to go directly to the Church of the Assumption, 23 N. Cliff St., Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter's Cemetery, Derby.

In lieu of flowers, make donations to Andrew McDonough B+(Be Positive) Foundation in care of the Funeral Home.
