Frank Joseph Ardoin
October 05, 1952 - May 15, 2021

Frank J Ardoin, 68, passed away Saturday, May15, 2021 surrounded by his family. Frank was born to Leonard and Noma Ardoin on Oct 5, 1952 in Lake Charles Louisiana.

Frank grew up in Iowa, La and graduated as the valedictorian at Lacassine High Scool. He then went on to Northeast State College where Frank received his degree in Medical Technology and began working at LCMH in the Lab, at the blood bank and other areas.

He then acquired a position with PPG Industries where he was instrumental in "setting up" a new lab when PPG added the Silica Lab. He worked at PPG for 35 years. Community involvement and volunteerism were important to him. During his career at PPG he served as president of the PPG Friends volunteer organization. He retired in 2015, after which he and his love, Theresa, relocated to Round Rock Texas.

Frank loved fishing and duck hunting. He was the consummate family man, always attending any event his children had. Whether it was a tennis tournament, dance class, or Sweetheart practice, he was always willing to fill the role of chauffeur. His independent and outside-the-box thinking took him and his family on many adventures to see beautiful landscapes of the US, and to settle and enjoy new areas with his family.

Frank also loved gardening and landscaping. He always made the yard and garden a priority wherever they moved, involving his children as much as possible. He has an innate ability to care for and revive any plant. Later when the grandkids were born, he made sure to introduce them to his passion. He spent many seasons teaching them how to plant, water, and harvest the garden. No matter the location or occasion, when gathering at the Ardoin's, inevitably, the yard was always packed with people admiring his landscaping. While the landscaping was a topic of conversation, the food is really what people were talking about. He loved to cook for family; from his Christmas Eve gumbos, to seasoning the pig at the annual Labor Day pig roast, or making sausage, it was obvious cooking was in his blood. Among his other hobbies were photography, live music; specifically Rock and Roll, and the Blues.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Theresa. His three children, Branden Ardoin (Mike Sowell), Jillian Ardoin (Alejandro Ruiz) and Lindsey Ardoin. His three grandchildren, Amelia, Kaiya Sofia, and Ronan. Also, left to cherish Frank's memory are his brother, Karl Ardoin (Joan Ardoin) and sisters, Lorraine Hardy (Larry Hardy), Elaine Hardy (Eugene Hardy).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Noma Ardoin, and his eldest Sister, Nola Corbello.

Lastly, the Ardoin family would like to extend a special thank you to Halcyon Home Hospice team. Ashley, Theresa B., Dean, Nancy, and David had the utmost respect and compassion each time they visited and took care of him. You are in our debt for providing such a high level of compassionate in-home care.

Should you wish to make a donation, the family is requesting you make a donation to the German Shepard Rescue of Central Texas or Saint Judes Children's Hospital.

A Memorial Mass will be at 4:00 PM Friday, May 21, 2021 at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Monsignor Jace Eskind will officiate. Visitation Friday will be from 2:00 PM until the time of service in the church.
