Joseph Adelsperger died Monday evening, March 1, about 6 o'clock. He had been bothered for some months with cancer of the stomach and of which he first realized about three weeks ago. He asked to be removed from his home in Walhalla, Michigan to Hammond, where he resided in earlier years, to his son's home, 418 Pine Street, where he took to his bed, from which he was never able to be removed.
Funeral services were held at the All Saints' Church on Sibley Street at 8 o'clock this morning. The remains were taken to the Catholic cemetery for interment. Mr. Adelsperger was born near Baltimore, MD on March 25, 1847. The greater part of his life was spent in Indiana, where he now leaves a wife and eleven children.
