Rita M. (Holmes) Lennon, age 93, died Friday. Born in New Philadelphia she had lived in Canton since the 1950's, was a graduated of the Mercy School of Nursing, a retired private duty nurse and a member of Saint Paul Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her husbands, William Holmes and James Lennon, grandson, Gabriel Holmes, sisters, Jean Thomas, Ann Fabiano, Donna Boz, Jeanette Cusano and Lena Storrie and a brother, Tony Leone. Survived by her daughter, Judy (Scott) Vetrone of Canton, sons, David (Judy) Holmes of Massillon and Bill (Connie) Holmes of Fort Mill, South Carolina, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. Special thank you to the staff at The Pines Nursing Home for their care. Friends may call Thursday from 12-1 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home followed by a service at 1 p.m. with Monsignor James Clarke officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in New Philadelphia.
