David A. Konitzer, Sr.

Two Rivers - David A. Konitzer, Sr., age 59, resident of Two Rivers, died unexpectedly of a massive heart attack on Saturday morning, May 15, 2021 at the Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.

David was born in Manitowoc on July 10, 1961 to Andrew and Alice (Bieker) Konitzer, Sr. After attending Washington High School in Two Rivers David worked as a mechanic for many years. He also worked at Mirro Aluminum and Tramontina until it's closing. David lived in several places in Manitowoc County until moving to Florida with his parents, eventually meeting the love of his life, Linda L. Stienstraw. They were married on July 2, 1983 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Clearwater, Florida. The couple later moved back to Wisconsin with his family. Dave loved working on and building Race Cars; NASCAR Racing; going to rummage sales; vacations in Tennessee; and being with his sons, which included coaching their baseball teams.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Konitzer; two sons, David Konitzer, Jr. and Chris Konitzer; his siblings: Richard (Marylee) Konitzer, Gene (Phyllis) Konitzer, Susan McKenna, Andrew (Joan) Konitzer, Jr, Jim Konitzer (Linda Justema), Mike Konitzer; and two brothers-in-law: Daniel Kleckner and Larry Brisco. He is further survived by his Best friend, Dave Gauger and his wife, Peggy; life-long friend, Terry Cox; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Steve Konitzer; two sisters: Debra Kleckner and Mary (Konitzer) Brisco; and one brother-in-law, Dan McKenna.

There will be a visitation for David on Thursday evening, May 20th at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th Street, Two Rivers from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. The evening will conclude with a service held at 7:00 o'clock led by Fr. Dave Pleier. Cremation to follow.
