Roger was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He was a very gentle person who enjoyed spending time with his family. He worked with his brother at his mechanic shop when he was able. He loved being outdoors and looked forward to his family bringing him special treats when he was at the nursing home-new pair of pants, shirts, boudin or anything he liked to eat. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish Roger's memory include one son, Richard Dale Longino of Eunice and one daughter, Ashley Longino of Minnesota; four brothers, Thomas Longino, Alva Longino, Jr, and Verdie Longino, all of Oakdale, and Silton Mitchell of Denham Springs; three sisters, Jackie Hayden, and husband, Kenneth, Eloise Manuel, and Nita G. Russell, all of Oakdale; as well as a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Alva G. Longino, Sr. and Willie Mae Longino; one brother, Earl K. Longino; and three sisters, Rose Marie Swinney, Rita Faye Longino, and Joyce Lee Longino.
