Millicent M Burgess, 93, of Fort Wayne, passed away on May 17, 2021. Born on December 20, 1927, in London, England, she was a daughter of the late Louis J and Florence B (nee Whichloe) Leyser.
She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Fort Wayne, and retired as an Administrative Assistant to Dr Don Lahrman, after many years of service. She was a member of Cedar Creek Women's Club, and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her daughter, Melanie (Donald) Snyder, of Fort Wayne; sons, Rhett (Carol) Burgess, of Leo, Rod (Kaye) Burgess, of Higganum, Connecticut, and Brig (Linda) Burgess, of Palm City, Florida; as well as seven grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, William J Burgess, in 2002; two sisters, and five brothers.
A memorial service will be held 11:00am, Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Bethany United Methodist Church, 7715 Sunny Lane, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Inurnment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
