BERYL CAROLINE DE JERSEY December 6, 1929-February 18, 2014 Peacefully on February 18, 2014 at the age of 84, Beryl Caroline de Jersey passed away at the Arborg Personal Care Home. She is survived by her loving and faithful husband of 44 years of marriage Walter de Jersey; son Scott DeJersey; daughter Doris Compain; grandson David Compain (Roberta Hjorleifson); granddaughters, Kristen Compain and Caroline Loewen (Shawn); great-grandson Remington; brothers Reid Creller (Bessie) and Keith Creller; sister Doris Forster; brother-in-law John de Jersey and numerous nieces and nephews. Beryl was born at Victoria Hospital Winnipeg, Manitoba. She grew up in Winnipeg and worked at Eaton's. She moved to Virden, Manitoba and worked at Eaton's mail order. Beryl and Walter were married June 14, 1969. They moved to Langenburgh, Saskatchewan. On April 2, 1970 their first born arrived. They moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba on December 2, 1974 their second born arrived. They raised their children in Winnipeg as well as Tyndall, Manitoba. They moved to Selkirk and then to Riverton, Manitoba and shortly after Beryl was placed in the Arborg Personal Care Home. Beryl loved taking care of her family. Baking, cooking, sewing, knitting, bowling, slowpitch, bingo and streamliners were some of her hobbies. Beryl loved going camping with her family and visiting her brothers and sister in Virden, Manitoba. Beryl loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. Beryl's last years were very difficult. She is safe in the arms of her Saviour Jesus now. Your mind is clear and your body is no longer in pain and suffering. "The moment that you died my heart was torn in two, one side filled with heartache, the other died with you. I often lie awake at night, when the world is fast asleep and take a walk down memory lane, with tears upon my cheeks. Remembering you is easy I do it every day but missing you is heartache that never goes away. I hold you tightly within my heart and there you will remain until the joyous day arrives that we will meet you again." Unknown Funeral service and celebration of Beryl's life will be held at Morweena Church at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2014.
