Billy Reeves Adams was born August 3, 1930 in Haynesville, Louisiana to Claude and Gladys Reeves Adams and passed away peacefully, Tuesday, May 11, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Mr. Adams graduated from Haynesville High School in 1947 and briefly attended Louisiana Tech University before joining the United States Air Force in 1951. He then served as a radio operator during the Korean War with the 6147th Tactical Control Group. Upon returning from Korea, he married Roberta Lee Hanisee. A man of many talents, he worked in the oil and gas industry, as a draftsman, an accountant, and a comptroller.

Mr. Adams was an accomplished skeet shooter and enjoyed bird hunting, fishing, photography, and gardening. He was also a very avid genealogist.

Daddy, you are very much loved and missed.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Roberta Lee Hanisee Adams, and his parents.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Donna Lee Adams Whitaker and David William Adams and wife, Deborah Andrews Adams; grandchildren, Caitlyn Renee Whitaker, Shelley Erin Whitaker, Roberta Lee Adams, Anne Marie Adams-Nix and William Eric Adams; and sister, Claudia Lea Adams.

A private graveside service honoring Mr. Adams' life will be held at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.
