Pearl Cowart Rich, 87, resident of Swainsboro, died Monday afternoon at her residence.
Pearl was born in Emanuel County, daughter of the late Luke Cowart and Lillie Mae Muns Cowart. She had lived in Fort Valley for many years before returning to Emanuel County in 1988.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Rich; her daughter, Jackie Klein; grandson, Kenny Rich; brothers, Dan Cowart and Robert Cowart; and a sister, Mary Cowart .
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, graveside services will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. from the Hall Cemetery with Reverend Brad McKenzie officiating. Please observe all safety precautions.
Survivors include sons, David Rich (Darla), Kenny Rich (Candy), Don Rich, Jimmy Rich (Debra), Charles Rich (Vicki), Ronnie Rich (Vickie); daughters, Evelyn Marsh, Samantha Smith (John); 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren; several nephews.
