LIBERTYTOWN-Albert A. "Pete" Brashears, 76, of Libertytown, died Monday at the Western Maryland Center near Hagerstown.
Born in Frederick County, he was the son of the late Ervin W. and Bertie Aldridge Brashears. His wife, Ellen L. Myers Brashears, died in 1965. He was a member of the Locust Grove Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are a stepdaughter, Mrs. Hilda Bloyer of Rohrersville; a sister, Mrs. Mary Gue of Mt. Airy; three brothers, Wilbur M. Brashears of near New Windsor, Alton R. Brashears of Libertytown, with whom he resided, and Lester L. Brashears of Dundalk; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Libertytown Funeral Home of D. D. Hartzler. The Rev. Kirk Ross, pastor of the Locust Grove Church of the Brethren will officiate. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery near Mt. Airy. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening.
