Artilio F. Campisano, 72, of Vandergrift died Friday (Nov. 28, 2003) in Forbes Hospital, Monroeville.
He was born Feb. 3, 1931, in Vandergirft and lived in the borough all of his life. A self-employed businessman, he worked in the Kiski Valley for many years prior to retiring in 1997. Mr. Campisano was a member of St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church, Vandergrift. Survivors include a son, Artilio F. (Kathy) Campisano of Murrysville; four daughters, Mrs. Karen L. (Charles) Riglick of Granite Bay, Calif., Roslyn Ferraro of Dunedin, Fla., Mrs. Natalie (Scott) Wilhoit of Doylestown and Mrs. Gina (Keith Mikush) Campisano of Pittsburgh; 11 grandchildren; his mother, Rose Gallo Campisano of Vandergrift; and three sisters, Mrs. Clara (Edmond) Chips and Rose Marie Gadbois, both of Pittsburgh, and Mrs. Madelyn (Bernard) Swatchick of Allegheny Township. He was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Campisano; his father, Artilio Campisano, in 1971; and his twin brother, Anthony Campisano. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the BRADY-CURRAN FUNERAL HOME INC., 429 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift. Christian Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Gertrude Church, Vandergrift, with the Rev. Leo Rothrauff officiating. Burial will be in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Vandergrift.
