Margaret Elizabeth Barnes Grant, age 94, of Wayland, MI, previously
of Redford MI, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 14,
2021 @ 8 pm.
She was born on February 22, 1927 in Water Valley, KY, to the late
Benjamine L. Barnes and Belle Pewitt Barnes.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Lee Grant; her two daughters,
Suzanne (Kurt) Antvelink and Patricia (Chris) Campbell; 6 grandchildren,
Amanda (Bruce) Bane, Rachel (Derek) Schmidt, Benjamin (Joelle) Campbell,
Sarah (David) Moore, Reuben (Mary Ansley - fiancee) Antvelink, and Lee
(Liz) Antvelink; and three great-grandchildren, Ivy Bane, Shiloh Campbell
& Levi Campbell, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Margaret loved to teach children about Jesus. She did so for 65 years through
Christian Education Ministries, to her own children and grandchildren, or even
a stranger she met. She was a Deacon and on the Nominating Committee at
Ward EPC in Northville, MI. She was also an active member of the Gideons
Auxiliary of MI. Margaret was an established real estate agent in the Detroit
Metro Area. No matter what Margaret did, whether it was through her work,
her church life, or at home, Margaret was known for being a woman of
integrity - a Proverbs 31 woman.
She was highly prized and will be mightily missed.
Visitation for Mrs. Margaret Barnes Grant will be held from 12:15 PM
until 1:00PM Sunday May 23rd at the Bayou De Chein Presbyterian
Church with committal and burial to directly follow in the Camp
Beauregard Cemetery.
