SERVICES: Funeral 11 a.m. Friday in Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Aurora, with the Rev. Cynthia Gray officiating. Visitation 6-8 p.m. today at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora.

Anna K. Brumwell, 72, of Aurora died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2003, at her residence in Aurora.

She was born Oct. 3, 1930, in Melrose, Minn., to Frank and Anna (Zulegar) Harapat and was raised and attended school in Erskine, Minn., graduating in 1948. Following school she was employed as a telephone operator for Garden Valley Telephone Co. in western Minnesota. She married Eugene Brumwell in 1950 at Erskine and the couple settled in Aurora in 1953, where Anna raised her family. In 1999 she was employed as a seamstress for ODC in Virginia. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed all needle crafts, as well as baking, canning, gardening, snowmobiling and fishing. She served as a Girl Scout leader in Aurora for many years. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Aurora and was a member of its quilting socity, a member of the Biwabik Womens Life Group, Biwabik Senior Citizens Group, and was a member and past officer of the Hoyt Lakes Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the Ranger Snowmobile Club.

She is survived by five daughters, a sister, 12 grandchildren;, and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene; brothers, Joseph and Kenneth Harapat; a sister, Frances Lee; son-in-law, Ira Thorson; and godddaughter, Deanna Jorgenson.
