Mrs. Clara "Susie" Sizemore of Leesburg died Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
The funeral services for Susie will be at 4 PM today, Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral service beginning at 3 PM. A private interment will follow.
Mrs. Sizemore, a native of Columbia, SC, was a longtime resident of Lee County. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She loved to shop, cook, spend time at the beach, and to love on her grandchildren. Susie was employed by the Lee County Board of Education at Lee County High School. She was preceded in death by her parents: Clara K. and Allen Jernigan, Sr., and a brother, Allen Brown Jernigan, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph "Joe" Sizemore, her daughter, Brittany Sizemore, her son Michael Sizemore (Francie), her 4 grandchildren: Kloe, Kade, Lily and Kash Sizemore, all of Lee County, her sisters: Annie "Sissy" Phillips of Baconton, Barbara Watford (John) of Crisp County, her brother William "Bill" Jernigan (Barbara) of Appling, GA and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Society, 507 W. 3rd Avenue, Ste. 4, Albany, GA 31701.
