Arlene E. Scarth Lanier age 94, of Millcreek, passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital.
She was born in Manhattan, IL on October 15, 1926 a daughter of the late Edwin and Florence Pohlman Scarth.
Arlene worked as an RN at the St. Vincent ER for over 25 years.
She was a very active member of First United Methodist Church.
Arlene enjoyed playing bridge, dominos and games with her friends, tennis and golf. She especially loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leland Lanier in 2017; daughter, Janis Ann Lanier and daughter-in-law, Karen Lanier.
She is survived by her three children, Nancy Matson and her husband Carl of Dover, PA, Steven Lanier of Cumberland, WI and James Lanier and his wife Karen of Westerville, OH; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and a sister, Jeanette Gilleland of IL.
Friends may call at the Burton Quin Scott Cremation and Funeral Services 3801 W. 26th Street on Monday May 17, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m.
Inurnment will take place in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in IL at a later date. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church 707 Sassafras Street, Erie, PA 16501.
