Abbie J. Pauley,87 of Caledonia, died peacefully Thursday morning May 13, 2021 at the home of her daughter in Prospect.

She was born June 14, 1933 in Delbarton, West Virginia to the late Thomas D. and Hazel (Chafin) White. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Timothy O. Pauley, they were married May 9, 1953 and he died April 27, 2001. Also preceding her in death was a grandson, Chris Decker and four brothers and one sister.

Abbie grew up in a large family and understood what it meant to take care of her family. She was a true, independent, loving mother and homemaker. Her family and their needs were her life. She was a good sewer and cook, her family remembers her delicious fried chicken.
Abbie was known to have a sweet tooth and enjoy a Coca-Cola whenever she could.

Her faith was very important to her. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Mormon, the Marion Branch.

Surviving are her children: Don (Kathy)Pauley of Columbus, Sherry (Keith) Snyder of Marion, Karen (Wendell) Decker of Prospect, Michelle (Reddy) Brown of Richwood and Gary (Karen) Pauley of Marysville.

Grandchildren: Beth Pauley, Kristen (Kenny) Gilles, Brian Snyder, Morgan (Jared) Rhoades, Angela Gigante, Cameron Decker, Brandon Decker, Alex Brown, Adam Brown, Daniel, Bradley and Ryan Pauley
Great grandchildren: Carley and Chase Snyder, Jordan, Justin and Christian Decker, Taylor, Allie and Samantha Gigante
Great great grandchildren: Isabella Brown, Mary Jayne Sherman, Emily Sherman and Natalee Decker
Sisters: Janette Thomas and Ann Richards, both of Columbus

Funeral services will be held Sunday May 16, 2021 at 4 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood, Brother Gilbert Crawford will officiate. Friends may call two hours prior to the service beginning at 2 pm on Sunday at the funeral home in Richwood. Burial and Committal service will take place Monday May 17, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Caledonia Cemetery.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Marion Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints, 1725 Marion-Edison Rd. Marion, Ohio 43302, or the American Cancer Society at 5555 Frantz Rd.
