Melissa Doty who has been sick for some time passed away last Saturday. The funeral was held at Jerusalem Tuesday, Rev. J T Hill officiating, preaching from John 10:16, Mrs. Doty had been sick the past three years and a great sufferer, yet she bore her trial bravely. Her husband and daughter did all that could be done for her comfort but nothing could return her health and Saturday night she quietly passed away.
She leaves a father and mother, husband and two children besides a host of friends to mourn her loss.
Mrs. Doty was a member of the Ladies home circle and a was interested in any good work. The funeral was one of the largest held here for many years, which testified to the esteem in which she was held.
