Funeral for W.R. Barefoot, 64, of Johnson, was at 10 a.m. Monday at Fields Memorial Wesleyan Church, Johnson. Burial was at Stanton County Cemetery, Johnson.
Mr. Barefoot died on July 30, 1992, at an Amarillo, Texas hospital.
He was born on April 30, 1928, at Lometa, Texas. A self-employed truck driver and salesman, he retired several years ago. He was member of the Baptist faith and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On September 25, 1951, he married Nell McDougal at Odessa, Texas. He had been a Johnson resident since 1963.
Survivors are his wife, of the home, one daughter, Debbie Scott, Johnson, one son Ruffen Barefoot, Austin, Texas; three sisters, Leola Hamrich and Mary Barber, both of Austin, Texas and Thed Birge, Kerrville, Texax; three brothers, Billy Barefoot, Globe, Arizona, Lemual Barefoot, Denton, Texas, and Ray Barefoot, Kerrville, Texas; and two grandchildren, Matt and Chantry Scott of Johnson.
A daughter Nancy Darnell , prededed him in death in 1962.
