4. The Norfolk News [Nebraska], Thursday, April 6, 1899. John M. Bondurant. After an illness of a month or more, of inflammation of the bowels, J. M. Bondurant breathed his last at a little past 6 o'clock this morning.
John M. Bondurant was born in Greensburg, Indiana, September 26, 1844. At the age of 12 he removed with his parents to Missouri. With his family he came to Norfolk in 1889 where he has since resided.
The funeral will take place from his residence at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. It will be under the auspices of the G. A. R. of which deceased was a member. Revs. Eaton and Jefferies will conduct the funeral service.
Mr. B. leaves a wife and daughter, Mrs. Pippin, and five grandchildren to mourn his loss. He was an estimable citizen and his death is a loss to the community.
