OBITUARY - DONALD ERNEST FISCHER
Mill Spring, NC -- Donald E. Fischer of Mill Spring, NC died Sunday morning, November 19, 2006 in St. Luke's Hospital, Columbus, NC.
Born in Wessington, SD, he was the son of the late Will and Elsie Schoolcraft Fischer and husband of the late Jean M. Fischer who died in 1995.
Mr. Fischer was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Grays Chapel United Methodist Church, Mill Spring, NC and delivered Meals on Wheels for many years.
Surviving are two daughters, Pam Champion of Chattanooga, TN and Lujuanna Clayton of Forest City, NC; one son, Phillip Fischer of Green Creek, NC. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
Mr. Fischer was preceded in death by a grandson, Heath Clayton.
Graveside services will be held in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, NC
