Elsie was born on July 9, 1932 in Granby, MO to George and Ira (Sturgon) Capps. Elsie graduated from Granby High School.
She died on May 9, 2021 at her home in Rochester surrounded by her family.
On March 23, 1952 she married David Boutelle in Sacramento, CA and the couple moved to Rochester.
Elsie was home busy raising six children and later worked for Central Service at Mayo Clinic for 16 years, retiring in 1997. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards and dancing.
Survivors include her two daughters, Debra Hoiem of Rochester and Susan (Charles) Robinet of Rochester; four sons, Gary (Thelma) Boutelle of Rochester, Stan (Susan) Boutelle of Rochester, John (Jolinda) Boutelle of Byron and Alan Boutelle of Cary, NC; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters, three brothers and one grandson.
Memorials can be directed to Mayo Hospice.
